It will help to hold on for a long time till you gather some other way for finding out its permanent solution. If the electric tap is not working so you can use the epoxy putty which is designed exclusively for such types of faults. For bigger holes, you can fix the hole by using a hose clamp around the pipe. You can also make use of pipe clamps or piece of bicycle inner tube, and if these all efforts won’t work so you can call a professional plumber.
